The Regional Development Funding Corporation (“RDFC”) was formerly known as Pittsburgh-Countywide Corporation, Inc. (“PCW”). PCW incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on July 13, 1978 and received its designation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation under the Internal Revenue Service tax code. In March 1998, the Corporation changed its name to the Regional Development Funding Corporation.
The RDFC, on behalf of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Pittsburgh District Office, provides economic development financing for land, improving land, purchasing and/or remodeling an existing building, new construction, the purchase of machinery and equipment and other acceptable costs, throughout Pennsylvania.
The RDFC also provides financing for real estate projects, procurement of machinery and equipment and working capital needs that contribute to the economic development of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County exclusively. Funding is provided through a Revolving Loan Fund granted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration.
